Langtry Advisory
For advisers

For accountants, brokers and corporate finance advisers.

Your client is about to sell, buy or hand on a business. You can value it, structure it and find the counterparty. What you cannot easily do is give them an independent commercial read on whether the business is actually what it appears to be.

You already advise them, and you may be paid on completion. That is not a criticism of how the market works. It is simply why the read has to come from somewhere else.

That gap is where transactions go wrong, and it is your relationship that carries the damage when they do.

What I do, and what I do not.

I provide the commercial read as a discrete, fixed-fee piece of work. I have run businesses through exactly these transitions, which is the perspective a valuation cannot supply.

I do not value businesses. I do not structure deals. I do not take success fees. I do not compete for your client relationship. Your client keeps you as their principal adviser throughout, and I will say so to them directly.

A typical referral.

A founder-led business between $10 million and $250 million. A transition live inside eighteen months. An owner who is uneasy about the number in front of them and cannot quite say why.

The work is fixed fee from $9,500 and takes two to three weeks. You are copied on the scope and the outcome unless your client asks otherwise.
